Local Governments Pick Up WV Project Grants

Gov. Jim Justice announced today that he has awarded $805,000 in West Virginia Statewide Planning, Coordination, and Implementation Program (SPCIP) grant funds to 13 projects. These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services throughout the state.
 
These funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Justice; Office of Justice Programs; Bureau of Justice Assistance and are administered by the West Virginia Division of Administrative Services; Justice and Community Services. 
 
Locally, funds were awarded to the following:
 
 
HAMPSHIRE COUNTY
Hampshire County Commission
Amount: $32,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Hampshire County.
 
JEFFERSON COUNTY
Jefferson Day Report Center, Inc.
Amount: $40,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Jefferson County.
 
MORGAN COUNTY
Morgan County Commission
Amount: $60,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Morgan County.
 
TUCKER COUNTY
Tucker County Commission
Amount: $62,000
These funds will be used to expand and improve peer recovery support services in Tucker County.
