Maryland Health Connection extends special enrollment period through August

March 26th, 2021 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Health Connection will extend its current Coronavirus Special Enrollment Period, launched at the start of the pandemic, until at least Aug. 15. The change aligns with the federal enrollment extension announced by President Joe Biden for the 35 states that use the federal health insurance marketplace healthcare.gov.

“We are pleased to announce the additional extension of this special enrollment period to Aug. 15, which is already one of the nation’s longest in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement. “Our administration remains committed to ensuring Marylanders have access to the resources they need to weather the pandemic and come back stronger and healthier.”
