The Maryland State Highway Administration is reminding citizens that unauthorized signs are not permitted along state roads.
Federal and state laws prohibit signs, signals, markings, and devices along state right-of-ways. This includes campaign and advertising signs. Unauthorized signs will be removed and stored at the nearest State Highway maintenance shop for retrieval.
