Allegany College of Maryland’s respiratory therapist Class of 2024 hosts the annual Great Strides/Mission for Mya walk on Saturday, May 11. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the mile track near the college's Physical Education Building. The Great Strides walk raises funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Mya Harris, whose life-long battle with cystic fibrosis ended in 2012. National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month began on May 1, and Great Strides walks are held across the nation.
