The City of Cumberland Street Maintenance Division would like to notify the public that a lane shift on Mechanic Street will be in affect between Frederick Street and Baltimore Street. This will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 7am to 3pm, and may be reduced or extended as needed. Two way-traffic will remain in place but traffic control devices will guide motorists through the area. 

Please be aware, slow down, and obey all traffic control devices and personnel working in the area. 

The traffic pattern adjustment will allow City crews to inspect critical underground infrastructure.
