On October 30, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department, with help from the Combined County Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I), continued its investigation into the missing adult woman case. In the afternoon, detectives and patrol units followed up on a tip and reviewed video surveillance in Cumberland's South End, which led to the woman's location, where Jessica Marie Roman was found safe. The Cumberland Police Department and the Combined County Criminal Investigations Unit would like to thank all partner agencies for their support and the community members who provided helpful tips. As a result of this several-day investigation, a person of interest was identified, and a suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and illegal possession of firearms. That individual is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting an initial appearance.
