On Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Waverly Terrace for the report of tampering with a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers contacted the owners of the vehicle who advised that a male subject was seen inside their vehicle. Officers located a male subject in the nearby area and found him to be in possession of property from inside the vehicle. As a result, Jacob Allen Kasecamp, 39, of Cumberland, MD, was placed under arrest. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $2,500 bond.
