Dr. Michael Martirano, an Allegany County native, will become the next Superintendent of Schools for the county.  The announcement was made at a special session of the county school board Tuesday evening.  Dr. Martirano said he was happy to be returning home and looks forward to the future with the school system.  He was most recently the School Superintendent for Howard County schools.
