Ocean City Continues to Fight Offshore Wind Project

June 12th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

Ocean City Maryland officials continue to push back against the proposed offshore wind farm planned for the coast off the state.  The Maryland Department of the Environment issued an air quality permit for the project, one of the last things needed to go ahead with construction that would place 100 turbines off the coast of Maryland. Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan said in a statement that MDE is ignoring every shred of feedback offered by those who will be directly involved if this poorly conceived and potentially disastrous offshore wind project is allowed to move forward.
