Maryland State Troopers from the Cumberland Barrack responded to the area of Orleans Road at High German Road on Monday at 7:58 p.m. for a motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed a pickup truck operated by a 50-year-old man, was heading south on Orleans Road near High Germany Road when it collided with a motorcyclist traveling north on the same road. The pickup truck driver was taken to UPMC Western Maryland for treatment. The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
