WVU Medicine Potomac Valley Hospital received two American Heart Association “Get With The Guidelines” awards for stroke care. The hospital qualified for the Rural Stroke Bronze and Stroke Silver Plus awards by demonstrating commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke. The guidelines lead to shorter recovery times and fewer readmissions.
