When Governor Wes Moore was in Allegany County last week, He saw firsthand the devastation from last week’s flooding. He spoke with residents, first responders, and county officials before officially declaring a State Of Emergency for the area.  Moore told reporters the state will use everything at its disposal to help build back the area…

  

“We’re just going to make sure that every single asset that we have and every lever that we can pull from a local, from a state, from a federal perspective is going to get to the people and get to the people as quickly as possible as we work together with this recovery effort.”

Westernport Mayor Judy Hamilton wants her area restored to how it was before the flood…

  

“They’re going to help us. Our citizens need help. Our town needs help and he has assured us he is going to do that. That is my expectation.”
