The Trump Administration’s plan to revoke federal permits for an offshore windfarm off Ocean City has positive response from different parties. The City of Ocean City had been against the project from the beginning, saying it would hurt tourism and fishing. “Something that will cost our rate payers, our energy and electricity consumers a lot of money if it went forward and at the end of the day, offshore wind just doesn’t work. It doesn’t provide reliable, affordable energy without tremendous amounts of public subsidies.”
