Springdale Street Firearm and CDS Arrest

On November 19, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 Block of Springdale Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that an individual inside the residence had been threatened with a firearm and held in the residence against her will by Gary Bookheimer Jr.

Bookheimer was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers located suspected CDS and CDS paraphernalia in his possession. He was also found to be in violation of multiple firearm-related offenses connected to the incident. Bookheimer was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he awaits his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
