Congressman David Trone (MD-06) released his 2022 Annual Report, outlining his work serving constituents, fighting our nation’s worsening mental health and addiction crises, and supporting historic legislation to improve the lives of Marylanders. Through the past year, Trone and his team answered 31,263 constituent letters, emails, and calls – all while sticking to their 72-hour response time. Rep. Trone understands that it can be difficult for many Marylanders to make ends meet, so he took action by recovering $9,056,789 in savings for constituents over the next 10 years, $4,427,423 of which were unemployment insurance benefits.
Congressman Trone’s office remains committed to helping constituents in every corner of the district with compassion, civility, and competence. In fact, more than 10,000 constituent service requests were answered this past year, and Trone attended over 275 events with constituents in 2022 alone.
Trone also met with community leaders on the ground to identify 10 projects in need of federal support. He secured more than $7 million in FY22 Community Project Funding for projects ranging from broadband expansion to crisis stabilization to infrastructure revitalization. And, residents in Maryland’s Sixth District will be receiving over $30 million in FY23 Community Project Funding for local projects and priorities, including $4.8 million to rebuild the Fayette Street Bridge in Cumberland.
Congressman Trone worked across the aisle to get these vital efforts over the finish line and signed into law. As the 12th-most bipartisan Member of Congress, Trone knows that our country is stronger when we work together.
