USDA Loans Available For Flood Recovery

August 6th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated Allegany County as a natural disaster area because of flooding and excessive rain that happened May 14-15. This enables the USDA Farm Service Agency to provide loans that can be used to meet various recovery needs, including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. Deadline to apply is March 16, 2026. More resources can be found on farmers.gov.
