On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Officers with the Cumberland Police Department arrested Kendall Shane Lowers. Officers on routine patrol observed a male subject in the elevator area of the George Street Parking Garage. The man initially provided a false name, but officers were later able to positively identify him as Lowers. Lowers admitted to giving false information because he was aware of having active arrest warrants. Authorities confirmed two outstanding failure to appear warrants issued by the Allegany County District Court on October 20, 2025, stemming from previous charges of littering and possession of CDS paraphernalia. During the arrest, officers discovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine in Lowers’ possession. He was taken into custody and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he awaits an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Charges: Bench Warrants- Failure to Appear x 2, CDS Possess not Cannabis, Trespassing Posted Property, Fraud to Avoid Prosecution
