On December 5, 2025, at approximately 2322 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 135 in Westernport, Maryland. The vehicle’s operator was known to have an active arrest warrant. In addition, deputies observed several indicators consistent with criminal activity.
An Allegany County Sheriff’s Office K9 was requested to assist with the stop and subsequently alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted, during which deputies located a large quantity of suspected crack cocaine and buprenorphine, as well as fentanyl and oxycodone. Deputies also recovered a digital scale, CDS packaging materials, and a large amount of U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from the sale of controlled dangerous substances.
As a result of the on-scene investigation, William Brody Miller, 37, of Westernport, Maryland, was taken into custody and charged with the following:
• CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (x2)
• CDS Possession (x4)
• CDS Possession of Paraphernalia
