The Allegany County Library System has announced pop-up libraries in Westernport while the community library is closed due to flood damage. Starting today, the ACLS van will be set up in the Westernport Library parking lot every Monday from 1 to 3pm through September. New books have been sitting in storage and marketing director Ashley Swinford tells WCBC the pop-up library will get them out to readers…

   

“You’ll see a couple of staff from the Georges Creek Library, and we’re going to sprinkle in a couple other staff members to be there for the community, say ‘hi,’ check out some books, make some reading recommendations, and just bring a little bit of the library back to Westernport.”
