The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad has a full schedule for Memorial Day weekend, including Sunset on the Mountain Friday evening, and the Frostburg Flyer running Saturday and Sunday.  Memorial Day, the railroad is making a lunch and coach class excursion.  Wes Heinz, director of WMSR, told WCBC more room was needed to meet demand…

   

“We have added 100 additional coach seats for Memorial Day.  We’ve added two additional cars, and the coach price for those seats are $13.09.  A little bit of added value to come out on Memorial Day.”

Heinz added Memorial Day is a great way to kick off the summer season…

   

“It’s a great way to come back out not only on the train but in Downtown Cumberland, Downtown Frostburg, and we are really excited about this 2025 season.  We’ve had so much fun already, it just keeps getting better.”
