The West Virginia Department of Health has announced that EMS candidates are passing at higher rates than ever before.  The department attributes the improved EMS scores to empowering instructors with more latitude in and out of the classroom.  Passing rates are now higher than the national average.  Paramedic passage rates are now in the high nineties, according to the department.
