Drug Takebacks Coming Up

Two upcoming dates are scheduled for prescription drug takebacks in Allegany County. The Maryland State Police are encouraging citizens to dispose of any expired, unused, or unwanted prescription medications between 10am and Noon on Saturday, April 25. The State Police Cumberland Barrack in LaVale is equipped with secure drug collection boxes. Last year, the state police collected over 11,000 pounds of medications from across the state. In addition, on April 27th, the PharmaCare Network will have a drug takeback day at their location in Frostburg on New Georges Creek Road.
