“I’ve said I’ve been a Republican my entire life. My whole family’s been Republican and everybody that’s asked me that – on Facebook, asked me questions – I’ve always been a Republican.”

Ritchie added, however, that party identification is not the most important issue in this election.

“I don’t think you should bring party even into this election. To me, it’s like let’s do the right thing. Let’s make the best decision and I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican. I don’t have a party agenda. My agenda is to make Allegany County better.”
