Union Encourages “Party Flip” Before Primary

The Harford County teachers union is actively encouraging its members to change parties ahead of the primary, saying it’s easy to change back again afterwards.  Another teachers union used a similar tactic in the 2024 election in Cecil County where they worked to vote out the county executive. Opponents to the move say the union is doing nothing to benefit students by encouraging the flipping, making it purely a political move.
