World Record Fireworks Display For Capitol

Celebrating America’s 250^th birthday in the nation’s capital will include an attempt at the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest fireworks show. The 4^th of July fireworks in Washington usually runs around 15 minutes, but this year Freedom 250 has hired Pyrotecnico to produce a show of over 40 minutes. Pyrotechnico’s Jason Farrell is the design coordinator for the show that will use over 800,000 pieces…

“This show is 40 minutes long. There are some really cool multi-color scenes that are just vibrant and exciting. When you see some of the shells do what they do, it creates and even cooler, larger picture because they’re interacting with each other.”
