Active Assailant Training

In April, executives at Moran Manor in Westernport contacted the Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with safety training. In response, Sheriff Robertson assigned the Active Assailant Training Team to the project. Following the initial training of the executive team, Senior Deputy Cody Murphy worked closely with Security Director Steve Creegan over several months to prepare for a controlled drill. On Thursday, June 25, we successfully conducted that drill, followed by a roundtable after-action review. We would like to thank the staff at Moran Manor for taking these proactive steps toward safety. Special thanks also go to Chief Steve Shipley (Joint Communications) and Chief Salvage (EMS) for their vital roles in the exercise.
