Grand Ave Arrest

On Saturday July 4, 2026, officers of the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the 400 block of Grand Ave. for a report of a male entering onto properties in the area and damaging items on the properties. Officer made contact with the male, identified as Hawke Coffman. Officers determined that Coffman was under arrest based on their observations of his behavior and destruction of several victims’ property. Coffman began to resist arrest and was apprehended after a brief struggle. Coffman is currently being held in Central Booking at the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting initial appearance.

CHARGES: resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property less than $1,000.00 (three counts), disturbing the peace, intoxicated public disturbance
