WV House Democrats Want Special Session

West Virginia House Democrats are calling for a special session to discuss an education-funding crisis. At a press conference, issues about financial challenges facing county boards of education and the need for legislative action to keep schools open and funded were presented. “We’re calling for the reintroduction of House Bill 5362 which places guardrails on the Hope Voucher Program. Common sense regulation of public funds. Keep the money in the state. Make sure it’s spent on academics and put a cap on the household income.”
