Capito Pushing Permit Reform

West Virginia’s Chamber of Commerce Business Summit heard remarks recently from U.S. Senator Shelly Moore Capito and efforts to break down barriers for business and project approvals. Speaking at the event at Greenbrier Resort, Capito said she’s been working on bipartisan efforts to make needed changes in permit reform to get rid of what bogs down development across the country…

“We know that permits are too expensive; they take too long. People back out of projects. There’s money sitting on the table – two trillion dollars sitting on the table because they’re not sure, if the political winds blow one way or the other, whether their projects can get built.”
