100 Deadliest Days For Teen Drivers

July 1st, 2025 by WCBC Radio

The countdown started on Memorial Day for the 100 deadliest days for teen drivers. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, AAA Mid-Atlantic says that over 13,000 people have died since 2019 in crashes involving a teen driver, with 30% occurring between June and September. According to AAA’s Molly Hart, summer months are dangerous as more young drivers hit the road, with more distractions along for the ride…

“Teen passengers are the biggest distractor for the teen drivers. Cell phone distraction is the second cause of these types of crashes, and another cause is speeding and that is a problem for both young adults and teen drivers as well as for adults.”
