National Weather Service issued a Freeze warning from 2 AM to 9 AM Friday in Maryland, Central and Eastern Allegany County. In Virginia, Page, Shenandoah, Augusta, and Rockingham Counties. In West Virginia, Eastern Mineral, Hampshire, and Hardy Counties.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 31 expected. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
