1309 Passes Federal Inspection

November 19th, 2021 by WCBC Radio

The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad announced today that steam engine 1309 has passed inspection by the Federal Railroad Administration.

A multi million dollar restoration of the Baldwin Steam engine has been underway for several years.  Board President Mike McKay gave us the heads up, and we were able to take photos of the first run, which included stops at the Western Maryland Station, Helmstetter's Curve at Csh Valley Road, and the Frostburg Depot.
