On Thursday, August 19th, 2021 the Cumberland Police Department served a District Court bench warrant on Melvin Eugene Mumma Jr. for violating pre-trial release conditions on attempted theft and forged currency charges. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a temporary commitment.
