850 New Coronavirus Cases in MD; Positivity Rate Approaching 4%

Maryland health officials reported 850 new coronavirus cases Monday, continuing a trend of more daily infections over the past several days.

The state positivity rate increased from 3.84% to 3.94% over a 24-hour period, according to the update.

Of those with the virus, 529 are hospitalized, an increase from Sunday's total.

Gov. Larry Hogan renewed the state of emergency for Maryland last week.
