On Friday just before 8 pm, Maryland State Police along with the Allegany County Sheriffs office responded to Campground Road at Braddock road for a two vehicle accident with entrapment. Vehicles involved in the collision were; a 2000 silver Mustang driven by Jordan Shook of Cumberland and a 1995 Buick operated by a Sherry Reynolds also a resident of Cumberland. Ms. Reynolds along with a passenger in the Buick were transported to WMHS for their injuries. This accident is currently under investigation.

Deputies of the Allegany Co. Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 7:00 a.m. on 1-10-13. Robert Howell, age 51, of Easton, PA failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of National Highway and Winchester Road. Howell turned left into the path of a vehicle driven by William Weimer, age 52, of Lonaconing. Weimer's wife Delores was a passenger in his vehicle and both were transported to the emergency room by LaVale ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Howell was cited for failure to yield the right of way while turning left. LaVale Fire Department also responded.
