Allegany County Emergency Services is reporting a vehicle accident on National Highway near the site of the former Bunny's Tavern. There was some property damage but no injuries reported. The scene was cleared in less than an hour

On 9-20-2011 at approx. 0855 hrs. Charles Frederick Hill. former House of Delegates candidate, 87yoa of Cumberland, was operating a 2000 Ford Focus when he became lightheaded. He lost control of the vehicle and drove through the front of Dr. Nathan Castlemans office located in the Burtons Shopping plaza. No one was injured during the crash which caused extensive damage to the front of the building. Hill was cited by Maryland State Police for negligent driving.
