Advisory: High Wind Warning until 10:00PM Monday
* WHAT…West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, central, northwest and western Virginia and eastern West Virginia.
* WHEN…Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down numerous trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* AFFECTED AREAS: GARRETT … EXTREME WESTERN ALLEGANY … CENTRAL AND EASTERN ALLEGANY … WESTERN HIGHLAND … EASTERN HIGHLAND … NORTHERN VIRGINIA BLUE RIDGE … CENTRAL VIRGINIA BLUE RIDGE … WESTERN GRANT … EASTERN GRANT … WESTERN MINERAL … EASTERN MINERAL … WESTERN PENDLETON … EASTERN PENDLETON

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
