Attorneys General from 40 states have written to social media giant META in reference to a decided increase in account takeover incidents. These incidents include takeovers, lockouts, stealing personal information, and posting harmful content. Consumers who have these incidents happen appeal to either their state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission when no live service can be had from META. The letter requests a meeting with META leadership to discuss causes and response actions.
