Allegany College Honors Top Students

 Allegany College of Maryland honored 70 students at the 49th Annual All-College Awards Ceremony held virtually in May. Achievement in academics, athletics and leadership, and service to the college and community was recognized through the distribution of 80 different awards in more than 30 subjects and areas. 

 

The recipients are as follows:

 

 

- Marissa Arnone, Cumberland, a Criminal Justice major, received the Outstanding Student in Criminal Justice Program – Extra-Mile Award.

 

- Alexandrea Black, Cumberland, a Medical Assistant major, received the Medical Assistant Achievement Award.

 

- Kaitlyn Booth, Mount Savage, a Nursing major, received the Margaret Keller Memorial Award.

 

- Mariah Brown, Needmore, a Legal Studies major, received the Outstanding Legal Studies Student Award.

 

- Adam Bucynski, Huntingdon, a Business Administration major, received the Outstanding Business Student Award.

 

- Amy Bush, Keyser, a Nursing major, received the Outstanding Student in Art Award – Excellence in Painting 1.

 

- Austin Bussard, Broad Top, a Computer Technology/Cybersecurity major, received the Outstanding Student in Computer Technology Award.

 

- Kirby Butler, Lonaconing, a Teacher Education major, received the Service to Children Award.

 

- Christy Carbaugh, Hopewell, a Nursing major, received the Nursing Faculty Award.

 

- Kira Chaney, Ridgeley, a Medical Assistant major, received the Medical Assistant Spirit Award.

 

- Olivia Chappie, Windber, a Pre-Occupational Therapy Assistant major, received the Supernova Scholarship.

 

- Codi Clapper, Buffalo Mills, a Forest Technology major, received the William L Cones Award for the Outstanding Second-year Forestry Student.

 

- Joshua Clark, Cumberland, a Psychology major, received the TRiO Scholar Award and the Changemaker Sociology Award.

 

- Morgan Clark, Odenton, MD, a Dental Hygiene major, received the Outstanding Achievement in Oral Periodontology Award.

 

- Amy Collins, Frostburg, a Human Service Associate major, received the Emerging Leader in TRiO Excellence Award.

 

- Ashley Cutter, Frostburg, a Teacher Education major, received the Service to Children Award.

 

- Davina Cutter, Keyser, a Respiratory Therapist major, received the Excellence in Respiratory Therapy Award.

 

- Philip Dodson, Waterfall, a Pre-Nursing student, received the Outstanding Achievement in Microbiology Award.

 

- Riley Easton, Salisbury, a Teaching major, received the Music Education Award.

 

- Ashley Evans, Keyser, an Occupational Therapy Assistant major, received the Occupational Therapy Assistant Leadership Award.

 

- Thomas Fair, Cumberland, a Computer Technology/Cybersecurity major, received the Outstanding Student in Computer Technology Award.

 

- Nathan Fazenbaker, Westernport, an Automotive Technology major, received the Outstanding Automotive Technology Student Award.

 

- Emilee Fierro, Cumberland, a Nursing major, received the Wellness Award.

 

- Wilvens Fleurizard, Fort Lauderdale, a General Studies major, received the Outstanding Male Student-Athlete Award.

 

- Kenton Foor, Everett, PA, a Hospitality Management/Hotel & Restaurant Management major, received the Outstanding Student in Hotel & Restaurant Management Award.

 

- Lexi Friend, Frostburg, a Nursing major, received the Myron E. Blough Memorial Award.

 

- Tynesha Goetz, Cumberland, a Criminal Justice major, received the Outstanding Student in Criminal Justice Program – Victor Reuschlein Award.

 

- Trent Harris, Cumberland, a History major, received the Sister Mary Alice Bleanger Award.

 

- Keaira Illiano, Keyser, a Human Service Associate major, received the Academic and Clinical Achievement Award and the Rodney Frazier Award for Advocacy.

 

- Emily Imgrund, Bedford, a Teacher Education major, received the TRiO Scholar Award, the Phi Theta Kappa Special Recognition Award, and the Service to Children Award.

 

- Lily Johnson, Lonaconing, a Business Accounting major, received the Business Professionalism Award.

 

- Joseph Klink, Cresaptown, a Physical Therapist Assistant major, received the Outstanding Mathematics Achievement Award.

 

- Stephen Kraft, Cumberland, a Human Service Associate major, received the Academic and Clinical Achievement Award, the Barb Mullenax "Velveteen Rabbit" Award for Personal and Professional Development, and the Emerging Leader in TRiO Excellence Award.

 

- Deborah Kyle, Barton, a Pharmacy Technician Certificate major, received the Outstanding Pharmacy Technician Student Award. 

 

- Heather Lamb, Churchville, a Nursing major, received the Nursing Faculty Award.

 

- Margaret LeMaster, LaVale, a Computer Technology/Cybersecurity major, received the Grit Award for Most Improved Student.

 

- Haley Malone, Ridgeley, a Pre-Nursing major, received the Outstanding Female Student-Athlete Award.

 

- Megan Marks, Chesapeake City, a Nursing major, received the Margaret Keller Memorial Award.

 

- Wesley Mason, Cumberland, a History major, received the Clio Award.

 

Quincy McMath, Hustontown, a Non-Degree major, received the Dr. Sharon Hott Psychology Award.

 

- Veronica McMillan, Oldtown, a Computer Technology/Cybersecurity major, received the Outstanding Student in Computer Technology Award.

 

- Mark Meckley, Loysburg, a Business Management major, received the Outstanding Business Student Award. 

 

- Rachel Mickle, Woodbury, a Multimedia Technology major, received the Phi Theta Kappa Special Recognition Award.

 

- Barbara Miller, Cumberland, a Teacher Education major, received the Grit Award for Most Improved Student and the Service to Children Award.

 

- Kami Miller, Cumberland, a Teacher Education major, received the Rev. George Hazen Memorial Scholarship.

 

- Grace Muller, Myersville, a Forest Technology major, received the William L Cones Award for the Outstanding Second-year Forestry Student.

 

- William O’Boyle, Cumberland, a General Studies major, received the Outstanding Achievement in PhageHunter Research Award and the Outstanding Achievement in General Biology Award.

 

- Arthur Praidkin, Cumberland, a Non-Degree major, received the Outstanding Mathematics Student Award.

 

- Russell Reid, Flintstone, a Multimedia Technology major, received the Grit Award for Most Improved Student.

 

- Katrina Rhodes, Cumberland, a Legal Studies Certificate major, received the Outstanding Legal Studies Student Award.

 

- Annette Ritter, Little Orleans, a Human Service Associate major, received the Excellence in Civic Engagement Award.

 

- Ashley Robinson, Frostburg, a Nursing major, received the Nursing Faculty Award.

 

- Josee Rundquist, Harpers Ferry, a Medical Laboratory Technology major, received the Outstanding Medical Laboratory Technology Student Award.

 

- Jacob Scanlon, Waterfall, a Computer Technology/Cybersecurity major, received the Outstanding Student in Computer Technology Award.

 

- Tristan Sharon, Westernport, a Forest Technology major, received the Glenn O. Workman Plant Sciences Award.

 

- Caitlin Shetler, Cumberland, a Dental Hygiene major, received the Outstanding Achievement in Pharmacology Award and the Outstanding Achievement in Oral Pathology Award.

 

- Allison Shinall, Everett, a Nursing major, received the Margaret Keller Memorial Award.

 

- Rebecca Shingler, Frostburg, a Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Aide Certificate major, received the Outstanding Nursing Assistant Student Award.

 

- Christian Speir, Frostburg, a General Studies major, received the Outstanding Achievement in Physics Award and the Outstanding Achievement in Chemistry Award.

 

- Tristan Stahlman, Hyndman, a Teacher Education major, received the Service to Children Award.

 

- Jeret Stevenson, Cumberland, a Teacher Education major, received the Service to Children Award.

 

- Jennifer Thomas, Cumberland, a Culinary Arts major, received the Outstanding Student in Dietary Management Award.

 

- Shana Thomas, Meyersdale, a Multimedia Technology major, received the Terry Feck Award for Outstanding Achievement in Multimedia Technology, Degree Program.

 

- Mark Turgeon, Windber, a Forest Technology major, received the Outstanding Veteran Graduate Award.

 

- Tabatha Vassar, Little Orleans, a Human Service Associate major, received the Barb Mullenax "Velveteen Rabbit" Award for Personal and Professional Development 

 

- Devon Warbington, Joppa, a Business Accounting major, received the Business Professionalism Award.

 

- Joshua Warren, Baltimore, a Culinary Arts major, received the Outstanding Student in Culinary Arts Award.

 

- Michelle Wilt, Everett, a Business Accounting major, received the Business Professionalism Award.

 

- Nikki Winner, Rawlings, a Medical Administrative Assistant major, received the Medical Administrative Assistant Spirit Award.
