It is day seven of Maryland's eight-day early voting period ahead of next Tuesday's election. State elections officials say more than 45,000 people voted on Monday, bringing the five-day total for early voting to more than 186,000. Thus far, the total is about half of the nearly 370,000 who voted in the first five days of early voting in 2018. Elections officials said fewer people are voting in person in early voting as more people vote by mail.
