Allegany County Public Schools’ Superintendent, Mr. Jeffrey Blank, has announced the appointment of the new Supervisor of Human Resources. Mr. Christopher Cassell will assume this role effective January 1, 2024. Mr. Cassell has been an employee of Allegany County Public Schools for over 25 years. Over the years, he has held several positions within the system. He has been a science teacher and Assistant Principal at both Washington Middle School and Fort Hill High School. Mr. Cassell is also a graduate of Fort Hill High School. He earned his Master’s degree from Frostburg State University. He lives in the Cumberland area with his wife Brooke, daughter Makenna, and son Nash. “After spending my career working in the classroom and as an administrator, I am excited to start my new role in Human Resources,” says Mr. Cassell. “Allegany County Public Schools is fortunate to have such dedicated and caring employees, and I am looking forward to working with all of them as we provide the best education possible for the students of our wonderful community.”
