The 2023 season for the Allegany Museum is slated to start on April 12th. The museum houses a collection of over 50,000 items featuring exhibits that showcase the unique heritage of the area and the region’s contribution to history. Among the larger exhibits is “Crossroads of America” which traces human’s movements through Cumberland and Allegany County. There are also extensive exhibits dealing with local industries in the region. The Allegany Museum is located at 3 Pershing Street in Cumberland and hours for the season are Wednesday through Saturday 11am-5pm.
