On December 12th, 2022, The Cumberland City responded to a residence in the 12000 block of Old Willowbrook Rd for the report of an assault. Upon arrival on scene, officers contacted the victim of the alleged assault. The victim advised officers that an argument had started inside the residence with a male suspect. The argument was then alleged to have escalated into an assault, where the victim received minor visible injures. As a result, Raymond James Broadwater, 77, was arrested for assault. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on is own personal recognizance.
