Betsy Paye, the wife of prominent local attorney Bob Paye, has died at age 81. Paye was the daughter of Robert and Anita Robinette and a graduate of Ursuline Academy. She was an x-ray technician at Sacred Heart Hospital and an avid runner. She is survived by husband Bob and children Brad and Alix.
Cynthia Mappin, wife of former Allegany County Commissioner Rick Mappin, died at age 78. Mappin was a native of Frostburg and a longtime music teacher at Beall High School. She is survived by Rick Mappin and her two sisters.
