The Allegany County Board of Education headlines Thursday’s second round of budget hearings from outside agencies presenting to the county commissioners. 99% of the school board’s budget comes from state and county coffers. Financé director Larry McKenzie says while the superintendent’s budget request maintains the status quo of $31.8 million from the county- with the General Assembly remaining in session through Monday- there remains the possibility for change in the coming days…
