Bob Thompson, a longtime teacher and music director and the husband of WCBC’s Andee Thompson, passed away early Thursday morning following a brief illness. Born in Keyser, utlimately moved to Cumberland where he taught 42 years in the local school system at Washington Middle and later Fort Hill High School. Bob was a graduate of Bruce High School Class of 1975, and also graduated from Potomac State College and Fairmont State University. He recently retired from Allegany County Public Schools. While working at Fort Hill he served as the Choral and Drama Director and was also the Sentinelette Advisor for several years.Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. A private family graveside service will take place. Bob Thompson was 65.
