On March 30th, 2023 officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 400 block of Henderson Avenue for a reported breaking and entering in progress. Upon officer’s arrival they observed a male later identified as Richard Dney, to be actively attempting to break into the residence. After a brief struggle officers were able to place Dney under arrest. Dney was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on an unsecured personal bond of $5,000.
Arrest: Richard Dney, age 53, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Attempted Home Invasion, Attempted Burglary Third Degree, Attempted Burglary Fourth Degree.
