The Trump White House has said that U.S. troops will continue to be paid during the government shutdown, but those not receiving needed assistance are heavy on the minds of people like Senator Shelly Moore Capito of West Virginia.  Capito told Fox News that paying troops is essential to national security, but families that rely on SNAP and other assistance are in peril because of Democrat’s political games…

    

“This is not something that should be in the political hands like it has been with the Schumer shutdown to be able to say, you know, they’re going to stand strong when we have so many people that now are wondering if they can pay their car payment, pay their grocery bill.”
