Cumberland city police made a CDS arrest Saturday afternoon. Police stopped a vehicle and the department K-9 alerted for the odor of illegal narcotics. Peter Koenigsberg, 32, of Cumberland, was arrested and charged with one count of CDS possession other than marijuana. He was also issued a traffic citation for driving on a suspended license. Koenigsberg was held on $4,000 bond.

On Saturday, April 14, 2012 at approximately 4:30 p.m., an officer on patrol with the Cumberland City Police Department observed that a driver of a vehicle which was traveling on Henderson Avenue was not wearing a seatbelt. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on Henderson Avenue near Valley Street. The driver and passenger were both contacted at which time the officer observed that the driver was acting very nervously. The driver granted the officer consent to search the vehicle. The vehicle was searched at which time marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. As a result, the driver, Ryan Joseph Mock and the passenger, Alyssa Kay Hughes, were both placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. Mock and Hughes were then taken to District Court for their initial appearance at which time they were both released on their personal recognizance.

Alyssa Kay Hughes Age: 19 Bedford, PA
Charges:
Both Mock and Hughes were each charged with possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
