The City of Cumberland Engineering Department, on behalf of Columbia Gas, would like to notify the public that Centre Street will be closed to thru traffic between W Harrison Street and Frederick Street on Tuesday, February 7th, and Thursday, February 9th, from the times of 7:00am to 5:00pm to allow Columbia Gas to work on their main. The road will be closed to traffic and parking on these two days.
Signage will be in place to detour passenger vehicles around the road closure, in addition to no parking signs on Centre street. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Traffic is expected to be restored after 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, February 7th and February 9th.
Additional information will be released in the event the closure duration needs to be extended.
